    Patriotism cannot …
Patriotism cannot be measured by an observor. It can only be measured through action. Everyone talks about this. Talks about that. When it comes right down to it, nothing gets done until you get off your lazy duff and do soemthing that you believe. The U.S Flag should never, ever be flown below a flag of another country.

    That is true. No …
That is true. No one is really in the clear on this one, but I cannot fault him for feeling the way he did and doing what he did.

And for the record, just leaving the Mexican flag on the ground is just as bad as flying it above the American flag.

    I think you forget …
I think you forget that Jim just committed theft and is now also a criminal. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

    Screw that. Jim …
Screw that. Jim did the (in my opinion) right thing. You can fly your Mexican flag, but not above the American flag on American soil. Respect.

    Looks like these …
Looks like these Mexicans were given a history lesson. The reason why the Mexican flag was above the U.S flag was because this Mexican business is owned by the Mexican drug cartel. They are like observation posts. No other way to explain it.

    What I find funny …
What I find funny is the fact that you are speaking on here as you do, yet have the balls say to someone else is humiliating themselves. Have you ever heard of proofreading or spell check? I sure hope you are not here in America. If you are here and so proud of your country go back and see what quality of life you will have. I bet the Mexican government allows you even less freedoms.

Also this idiot does not speak for all Hispanic. I know several and they are good Americans!

  22. tmburns1971 on July 6th, 2009 10:48 am

    They fought and …
They fought and starved on boats to get here and were proud to be called Americans. Not German-Americans, African-Americans, Hispanic- Americans, Irish- Americans etc… Just a PROUD AMERICAN! I am offended that anyone would fly a foreign flag above our American Flag when so many people have died to protect the freedom and liberty our flag represents. Betsy Ross is turning over in her grave. cont…

    This church still …
This church still stands today and an American Flag still stands there along with the Flags of the Church. My Grandfather so proud of this country joined the military at age 19 and became a pilot in the Air force. He fought in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired as a LT colonial. I find it hard to understand why people who are so proud of their native country would leave it and come here. That is not how the immigrants of the past were. cont…

I am all for being …
I am all for being proud of your heritage. I am German in my decent and I love to learn the culture of my ancestors. My great great grandfather immigrated to this country and founded a Lutheran Church in the late 1800’s. THe spoke full German and lead a German congregation. I have seen pictures of his church and in the front of the church you did not see a German flag you saw an American Flag. cont..

    I would love to …
I would love to shake the hand of the man who had the guts to stand up for his country and cut that flag down. So many things are taken for granted in this country. What I do not understand is why these people who wanted to fly the Mexican flag are here in the US. I thought people came here because of the oppression and poverty in their own countries. cont…
